Formerly known as the Austin Pet Project, established in 2014, Backyard Bark n' Suds has moved services to the Waller County area. Laura Goulart, a former Certified Veterinary Technician brought her love of animals to the Hempstead, Tx area. Her business has grown from a personal need into a thriving business with a unique touch.

With over 35 years of experience, Laura has worked with a variety of animals, with knowledge of both large (farm) and small (dog, cat, bird, exotics) pets. Her expertise is with Diabetic & Senior pets, after surgery care, special needs and is proficient in administering both oral and inject-able medications while working in a Veterinary practice.

What makes Bark n' Suds different, is the personal and private interaction of serving your dog/pet. Laura has an in home set up where she can offer your dog an at home feel while getting a bath, nail trim or other grooming service. Her home is dog friendly and your canine is allowed to roam and interact. Housed on a quarter acre, fenced in for security, dogs will be allowed to relax instead of being stuffed into a crate all day waiting to go home. Laura strives to only accommodate one family at a time in order to not have any issues with other dogs and offers quick turnaround so your dog is back home in a timely manner. She offers both overnight & day boarding as an add-on service in case you need to drop off before work and pick-up after for a nominal fee. Laura's training and experience will keep your pet safe, happy and healthy within her care. For those that prefer visits to their home instead of boarding, Laura can accommodate those needs as well.
